Abstract

|
Ultrasound-guided fetal paracentesis and cordocentesis were performed in a fetus who had massive ascites and hydrocele in third trimester. Cells from fetal ascites were processed like amnionic fluid for karyotyping and successful result was
obtained
within 10 days. Our present study suggests that fetal ascitic fluid may provide rapid fetal karyotyping and guideline to obstetric management in selected patients.
